Our Work
Hello, we are notdev—a design studio (that doesn’t do development). We help our clients find the right problems to solve through an iterative process that prioritizes making over meetings. We work across product and brand. Below is a collection of work from the last ten years. We want to impress you so its mostly name-dropping and eye candy.
Google Food
We worked on several ideas to improve the ordering experience including: improvements to the menu, better integration within search, and finding ways to make partner selection easier.
Gmail & Chat
We helped design the desktop and mobile experiences for Google Chat, including the chat experience within Gmail. We were also involved in several cross G-Suite initiatives, including the universal presence.
Google Maps
We worked with the Google Maps Studio team on a variety of projects, including creating the first dark mode spec and helping with their design system.
Sense
Sense is a multi-product platform used for hiring and recruiting. We helped them create a design system that included new primitives, and a new visual language.
Ugly Co.
Ugly Co. is a dried fruit company on a mission to prevent food waste. In preparation for their national rollout, we helped refresh their packaging.
Toyota Dealer Systems
Toyota Dealer Systems has built a multi-product platform, used to manage inventory, parts service, sales…We design all thems.
Toyota SmartPath
Toyota Smartpath helps dealers sell vehicles and book service appointments online. We provide both UX design and strategic support.
DocuSign Developer
We worked with DocuSign Developer to refresh their brand, including an illustration library, website design, event creative and social media templates.
SkyFlow
Skyflow builds enterprise tools related to data vaults. We helped them redesign their flagship product following a rebrand.
Layland
Layland is an upscale glamping resort offering Airstreams, RV-sites, and cabins. We helped design their brand—including a new logo, brand voice, website, swag, way-finding signage, and in-room collateral.
University of Texas
We worked on several web projects at UT including the Provost website, Bridging Barriers, and a handful of other faculty resource websites.
Box
We were hired by Box to help refresh their brand. This included updates to the brand positioning, color, type and illustration. We also helped design a new website and advertising campaign.
Zest
Zest is a tech startup that makes gifting easy. We helped them design their brand including new logo, illustration and website.
Carbon
Carbon builds 3D printers used for manufacturing. We worked with their team on print software, mesh creation tools, on-printer interface, and physical packaging.
Albertsons
We work help a variety of teams with strategy, planning, and day-to-day UX design. We recently led a cross-functional effort to re-design the in app loyalty experience.
Google Search
We worked with Google Search on Northstar search concepts.
Desktop Metal
Desktop Metal is a 3d printing company that focuses on metal 3d printing. We helped them build their brand. We took them from 30 people to public.
DocuSign Brand
We worked with the Creative Director on the brand side to design a new website that included guidance on the foundational elements of the new DocuSign Brand.
DocuSign Product
We worked with various product teams at DocuSign on features ranging from onboarding, post-sign flow, and we did some vision work with the design system team.
Cleo
Cleo helps families, from first kid to caring for a grandparent. We were referred to them by Google Ventures. We helped them redesign their app.
Workera
Workera is an AI powered training platform. We spent six months embedded with their product and design team to redesign the app.
Toyota Navi
We worked with Toyota Connected to design the in car navigation experience for all 2024 Toyota’s and Lexus vehicles.
We worked with various teams at Twitter on projects ranging from event creative to executive decks, illustrations, and brand guidelines.
Brandless
We did a bunch of vision work for Brandless. Our goal was to integrate more editorial storytelling into the experience.
Atlassian
We developed Atlassian’s first illustration library. We created hundreds of illustrations that were used within Atlassian’s products, marketing, and websites.
Sigre
We did a two-week sprint to help the Sigre team explore future ideas for their core product.
Builder Craft
Builder Craft is a custom home builder based in Colorado. We did a sprint to design a basic identity and logo package.
Zillow
We worked the Zillow Premier Agent team on a mix of web and marketing intiatives.
Entropy
We worked with an early stage founder to design concept screens for a new product idea.
Fore Parnters
Fore Partners is a private equity group focused on investing in golf concepts. We did a two week sprint to help them design a starter brand.
Indeed
We worked with the Indeed Design System team do some light vision work and extend the existing design system.
Bloomberg Campaign
We worked on Mayor Bloomberg’s presidential campaign. We built a series of Canva templates that organizers could use to easily create flyers and social content.
